William Arfman is a postdoctoral fellow at Tilburg University (NL). His past projects concerned contemporary Mexican ancestor veneration and the emergence of a ritual field of collective commemoration in the Netherlands. Currently he is doing research on ritual after atrocities, such as the refugee crisis and the MH17 airplane crash.
