Rebecca Barrett-Fox is a scholar of American religion, with a focus on conservative Christianity, politics, and theology; hate; sexuality and gender; race and ethnicity; and the law. She is the author of God Hates: Westboro Baptist Church, American Nationalism, and the Religious Right (University of Kansas, 2016) as well as articles that have appeared in Contention,<> Youth & Society, Thought & Action, Journal of Hate Studies, Radical Teacher, and ​Journal of Religion and Popular Culture. ​She co-authors the blog Sixoh6​<>​, about politics, religion, and culture with journalist Joel Mathis. She earned her PhD at the University of Kansas as is a professor of sociology at Arkansas State University.
