Rebecca Barrett-Fox

Rebecca Barrett-Fox is a scholar of American religion, with interests in hate and extremism, gender and sexuality, race, and rightwing politics and social movements. She is the author of God Hates: Westboro Baptist Church, American Nationalism, and the Religious Right (University Press of Kansas 2016) , as well as articles published in Contention, Humanity & Society, Youth & Society, Journal of Hate Studies, Thought & Action?, and elsewhere. She is passionate about the liberatory possibilities of online education and currently serves as the Visiting Coordinator of Online Education at Hesston College. Her writing about higher education can be found at Any Good Thing, and her writing about politics and culture "from a (mostly) Mennonite perspective" appears at Sixoh6.
