Dr. Laura Morlock is a scholar of religious dress whose research focuses on gender narratives, identity construction, and the ways minorities use dress to communicate with the larger society around them. Her most recent work examines how far from threatening the values of multiculturalism, using religious dress in public spaces can lead to an expansion of human rights policies for all.
Dr. Morlock teaches dress and diversity at Ryerson University’s School of Fashion in Toronto and holds a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Waterloo (Canada).You can find her on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
